October Weekend Recap: Week 4.

Saturday:
We were out the whole noon of Saturday. After lunch, we headed to SM North to pay bills and treat the little one for a little toy shopping spree before his scheduled 8th month wellness checkup. His Daddy promised him that a few days ago. Toy Kingdom was the ultimate destination for the day and a few minutes of shopping later, we went out of the store with 2 big shopping bags. Inside were a bag full of toy balls (100 pcs), 2 swimming floaters that he can hopefully use on Wednesday for the 9 Waves swimming, a Stack of Rings Toy and a Halloween Pumpkin Loot Container for his Trick Or Treat at his Daddy's office on Thursday.

We went to his Pedia's Clinic afterwards for his 8th month wellness checkup. We always set Asher's checkup by near closing hours of the clinic so there will be no queues and that we'll no longer wait. It's quite surprising to see the volume of baby and kid patients flocking that day. According to the pedia, they've been very busy since in the morning because of storming patients all sick babies and kids complaining of colds, cough and fever. It really must be the changing weather that's making everybody (not only babies) sick. And so we waited for a while before Asher was seen by his doctor.

I can't believe Asher is turning 8 months this weekend. As of today, he now weighs 8.4 kilos, quite relieving this time since that's a gain of almost a kilo in just one month from 7.5 last month. Both of his vitamins (Ceelin and Nutrilin) shall now be administered at 1 ml of each a day. He was given an anti-measles vaccine and we were told that he might (but I do hope he won't) be feverish after a week. We were also instructed to give him Salinase Drops because of mild colds that he contracted earlier that same day. I say mild because it only appears (flows down) when he sneezes or occasionally in a day but also disappears moments later. And so with that, I doubt if I can let him have a swim on the Wednesday outing. We're also told to prepare for the next month's vaccine as he'll be given the IPD (anti-pneumonia). We're shocked to know of its price (Php 6500/shot and will be given total of 3 shots every two months)..what? that's a total of Php 19500 (almost USD 400)! But nevertheless, we appreciate the early advise so we can prepare for that. By all means, we won't let him miss these shots since it'll be for his own good.

Sunday: We missed the morning Sunday mass since Daddy together with Ninong Kevin and Lolo went to Himlayan in the morning to do some grave cleaning in time of the All Souls' Day. We'll be visiting hubby's maternal grandparents this coming weekend. Asher and Mommy just chilled and slept the whole noon at home while Daddy and Ninong Kevin went to Greenhills. As always, we drove back home to Makati in the evening.
