Infected.

The little one hasn't been feeling well since last week. He frequently pooped soft (but not watery) stools and had an on and off fever last Sunday till Monday but went better on Tuesday and Wednesday. Come Thursday, he pooped five times, got an on and off low grade fever again and what was alarming is that there are red streaks in his stool. I phoned his Pedia right away and was advised to keep him dehydrated with an ORS (Pedialyte 45) and give him gastrofluora meds. I requested the husband to come home early so we can buy his meds but unfortunately, gastrofloura wasn't available in a nearby Mercury drugstore. Since he didn't improve that night, the husband called his office that he'd just work from home on Friday as we needed to bring Asher to his Pedia. He has a stool exam and from that, it was learned that he has an infection. We were given antibiotic meds and other meds to contain it. Fortunately, he was hydrated enough so there's no need for a confinement. He was also feeding and eating fine, thus no need for appetite suppressants. As of this morning, he was a lot better. No more low grade fevers and most of all, his stool has improved and had pooped just twice since this morning. Hope he's on his way to full recovery.
