Daddy Paul's Booboo On Print.

Sshhh, the husband actually didn't know that I submitted this a few months back for Smart Parenting June 2009 issue's Last Thoughts section. For this Father's Day month, this section is about funny Daddy's slip-ups here and there...or in simpler terms, Daddy's Boo-boos.
I'm quoting what I submitted:
So this booboo on print is my Father's Day gift to Paul. Advance Happy Father's Day, bi!
I'm quoting what I submitted:
As newbie parents, Paul and I went through a lot of adjustments during the first few weeks of parenthood. I commend Paul for being a very responsible and doting dad but I couldn't forget that day when we brought our 2-week old son to the doctor for his first checkup. I asked Paul to get the baby book from the diaper bag. But instead of handing over Asher's monthly record book, he gave me the Elmo Learning ABC Book. I looked at him and repeated "his baby book". He stared back and replied, "Isn't this a baby book?". I laughed so hard that my stitches hurt.Up to this day, I can't forget Paul's look when he handed me that book. It was truly hilarious and even him, he laughed after realizing his booboo. Perhaps he was just absent-minded due to a number of sleep-deprived nights. At least he didn't hand me a piano sheet music, a feeding bottle, a newspaper or worse, the steering wheel (he was driving that time). At least, the one he gave me was still a book. After all, he's still correct, it's indeed a baby book.
So this booboo on print is my Father's Day gift to Paul. Advance Happy Father's Day, bi!
