Asher's Library

Library

I have blogged about Asher's love for books before. I'm amazed how we were able to come up with this ever growing collection of books for him. In fact, I keep on researching online for some more Amazon books that I can add to his collection. He surely have lots of toys already, mostly were gifted to him, so instead of luring him to Toy Kingdom when we're malling, we'd rather bring him to the bookstore or to the thrift book shops for book shopping. I normally buy him lift the flaps and touch and feel baby books because those are his favorites. I have always believed that it's never too early to start training a baby to have interest in books. Books are just so powerful aids in helping a child's mental development shape up. I'm just so proud that he can now read or should I say recognize the images on his books and associate them with actions or sounds (for animals). If you take a closer look, some of his books are a bit mangled on the edges. Those are just proofs how they are overused by the little one. I hope he continues to grow up and love reading books even more.

Reading his Teddy Bear Book.

Yup. buti nga ung anak ko, kahit na adik manood ng tv at sa computer, mahilig pa din mag-open ng book. (di pa sya marunong magbasa eh hehe). diba, iba pa rin un hilig sa books? ^^

yep i so agree. But reading isn't limited to being able to read and enunciate words. Looking at and recognizing images are already considered reading. :)
