The Tractor Ride

My son has tremendous fascination with tractors and the not so ordinary automobiles lately. So just imagine how his eyes lit up when he saw this tractor/bulldozer kiddie ride at SM last Sunday.

Without second thoughts, he excitedly said yes when we asked him if he wants to ride it. I was having a hard time calling his attention to look at the camera’s way because he couldn’t take off his eyes from the steering wheel, gear stick and all other lighted and blinking buttons inside the ride. The little one’s interests are really amusing me. Looks like he’ll be most interested with cars, maintenance and even rv repairs when he grows older.

Speaking of the little one, he’s on my lap at the moment and smiling from ear to ear because he’s seeing these pictures of him riding the “taktol”, as he pronounce it.

Buy Gold Coins

Most of the articles in my reads today discuss about gold and silver bullions.  One friend even plans to buy gold coins one of these days.  Much has already been said about this commodity and it only proves that it’s indeed one of the best options when diversifying one’s financial portfolio.  Experts say that ultimate profits and investment security can be achieved as long as one trusts his commodities to the best gold dealers in the market.  The United States Gold Bureau is among these companies that can surely be trusted as testified by many.  In fact, they are labeled as one of the America’s best dealers with a convenient market and competitive precious metals prices.

Due On November

I just chanced upon the website of http://www.wholesaleinsurance.net and I suddenly thought about November.  Next to Halloween, it’s my insurance that I always reminded of whenever November crosses my mind.  The due date of my semi-annual premium falls every second week of that month.  It’s actually a perfect timing because after settling it, I still have ample time to save up for Christmas gifts funds.  It’s also great to know that I’m already on my 8th year come November so that means I will only have 4 years or 8 semi-annual payments left and I’ll be done with my premiums. I will be contacting my agent some time soon though because I wish to revisit the inclusions and the terms of my insurance package.

The Little Rascal

The husband wondered last Friday why the bottled drinks in the refrigerator suddenly got iced.  He checked the temperature dial and there he saw that it was adjusted to almost a whole turn past the maximum gauge.  It was a mystery to us why and who could have done it.  The day before that, I just corrected and turned the knob to the min level (after it was set to number 3).  We initially concluded that it was Yayie who could have erroneously adjusted it since I remember her asking that day how to turn it off so she could clean it.  I told her that it’s a no frost ref so there’s no need to defrost it and that I’d just be the one to take care of the cleaning.  Then, past forward to today, I noticed Asher opened the ref a while ago and he was seemingly reaching out for something at the farthest end of the ref then he closed it.  I immediately checked what could he be trying to get and lo and behold, I saw that the dial was set again at number 3.  It’s as if I just caught a sneaky rat.  I immediately told the husband and all he could exclaim was “Ohhh Asher tsk tsk!”.  It seems that we have to brace ourselves for his all other upcoming rascality. I just hope that he will spare our copper farmhouse sinks, the TV and all other stuff here at home.

DSC_6083Paul and I are already anticipating a higher electricity bill this month.  Thanks for the mischief little Asher!

Gold Bullion

Truth be told that if ever I get a chance to have cash amounting to $41,257.59 now, I would definitely get a gold bullion.  As per US Gold Bureau, that’s the recent value of a 1 kilo gold bar.  I’ve always heard how promising and secured gold investment is and this exactly is what’s prompting me to try these commodity markets.  Other options include silver and platinum coins and bullions but gold has always been the authority in this kind of investment because of its stability and liquidity.  No wonder the top sellers of US Gold Bureau involves mostly gold variants.

An Event For Breastfeeding Moms

45102_428286939283_47469049283_4710335_3560173_n

Whenever I learn about a friend getting pregnant or whenever I wish her the best for the upcoming big delivery day, my reminder would always be “magbreastfeed ka ha?”.  Having been breastfeeding my son for 2 years and 6 months now, I just know how beneficial, important and how valuable breastfeeding is.  Of course, there will always be challenges or discomforts along the way but I think every Mom will be 100% willing to sacrifice and to give nothing but the best for their offsprings.

Breastfeeding is similar or even encompasses the security that an insurance brings; as with the benefits that an auto insurance coverage provides to a car owner.

It’s really great that there are so many breastfeeding events, activities and support groups that have surfaced now.  Breastfeeding moms will be empowered and will have the adequate knowledge to breastfeed all the way without qualms and doubts.

Everyone's Sick

Everyone's getting sick. Most of my Facebook wall contains shoutouts that they or their kids are feverish, coughing badly or nursing a bad colds. Kids of some friends were event rushed and confined at the hospital. And the news about the dengue outbreak in Metro Manila is certainly alarming. It really must be the weather. With Asher getting hospitalized two years in a row due to bronchitis and pneumonia (both in the last quarter of each year), I can't help bet get uneasy as the cold season approaches. That's why I see to it that I tank him up with enough Vitamin C to make him extra resistant of such illnesses. I likewise monitor our room's temperature and see to it that it's not too cold for him. Glad we're not living in countries with homes having indoor and outdoor fireplaces because Asher will definitely can not bear the tremendous cold temperature.

Facebook Fan Page Find

I’m actually skimming through my Facebook wall feeds when I stumbled upon a friend’s recent link share.  It’s actually the fan page of United States Gold Bureau and I find it interesting as I’ve learned that it’s a one stop shop for all precious metals needs whether it’s gold, silver or platinum.  This shop has a wide selection of these commodities in various forms like bullions (coins or bars) as well as rare and certified coins.  It is an authorized dealer for the US Mint and has been regarded as one of America’s top dealer for years now.  This actually lured me and gave me the idea to try out investing in gold coins someday as experts say that it’s one of the best ways of diversifying one’s assets.

Asher’s New “Buyoy” Words

When Asher was still learning to talk, I have this habit of jotting down the new words he’s learned each day.  But now that he’s so talkative, spontaneous and loud, I can’t catch up with how fast he’s learning tons of new words these days.  Albeit “buyoy”, my heart’s beaming with pride because my little darling is indeed growing up and developing so well.  And lastly, I’m overjoyed everytime I hear him say…”Mommy, i lab bu” or when he says “mommy, lab lab lab” as he embrace me so tight.

So here are four of his new funny "buyoy" words:
1. "Popotanus" - hippopotamus
2. "Tokwang" - Pokwang
3. "Damot" - Gamot (medicine)
4. "Hudas" - Hugas (wash)

An Accomplishment.

Finally, I was able to finish Asher’s The First Year Photobook.  This is a project that I’ve long been postponing for two reasons.  One, because I’m always swamped with work and two, sometimes, laziness and procrastination get in the way.  This is a major accomplishment and I can’t wait to see it up close.  The journaling I’ve painstakingly compiled since his birth is so precious that I’m excited to read it over and over again even though I was the one who made it.  Hope Artscow will deliver my order fast and without any hassle.

Up next, Asher’s The Second Year, Asher’s 1st Birthday Party, Asher’s 2nd Birthday….oppps, looks like I still have a lot up in my sleeves.

Learning The Concept of Money

Asher, at such a young age, knows already the concept and value of money.  He knows that money is needed in order for one to buy food, toys and clothes.  He also has certain terminologies; when he says “pela” (pera), he pertains to anything in coin form including gold coins.  When he says “money”, he pertains to paper bills.  So that’s how he differentiates these medium of exchange for now.  Speaking of gold coins, I wonder if he’ll ever get interested with gold and precious metals bartering.  Well, if ever, the United States Gold Bureau will be a good information resource for him for everything he needs to know about this business/investment.

Work At Home Mom’s Challenge

Sometimes, working at home does not make one productive and effective.  Especially if you’re a mom who has kid or kids’ needs to attend to and a home to manage fully.  I am fortunate to have Asher’s Yayie assisting me in taking care of the little one and maintaining the house but sometimes, the demands of the little one are just so hard to cope up with then I have a deadline to beat with my online work.  But I’m not complaining.  After all, this is my choice and in general, working at home enables me to enjoy the best of both worlds.  All I’m saying is that a mom’s just a human, too, who gets tired and stressed.

Asher at 29 Months

To My Little One,

I can’t believe that you’re not so little anymore. As days pass by, I do notice how you’re growing bigger, smarter, more capable of a lot of things and yes, I have to emphasize, also more hard-headed these days.

36801_447759446778_727161778_5981221_5897695_n
* Your appetite has way become more voracious. You’re eating non-stop! Mommy has to obscure a lot of food stuffs in the ref and make sure that they’re beyond your sight because the cream cheese and chocolates wouldn’t be able to escape your taste buds. Worse, you almost even attacked the butter yesterday! Mommy and Daddy have to stock lots of juices, crackers, biscuits, stick-o’s and “tapays” (tinapay or bread) just so you have plenty to devour. What’s interesting about you is that your main meals aren’t affected. Sometimes you even eat your lunch and dinner twice each meal!

* I’ve lost count the words that comprise your vocabulary now because you’ve truly become so very, very talkative! Even you yourself, exclaim “Asher, daldal!” when you notice that you’ve been yakking nonstop.

* Last Sunday, Mommy and Daddy tagged you along to PhilSports Arena and you were able to watch a live basketball game for the first time. While Mommy and Daddy gladly cheered for the UST Tigers, you had a fun time observing the loud drums, the mad crowd and of course, your eyes were glued to the basketball game, too. Towards the end of the game during timeouts and there’s nothing to watch or if the drums halted temporarily, you got bored and started to nag that we go home. You said, “Tapos na! Uwi na tayoooo! Go Ohm!”

* I see no signs still that you’re ready to wean from breastfeeding. In fact, you’ve even become more demanding these days. I can see that it’s mostly comfort nursing is what you’re after now. When I try to introduce the idea of weaning to you, you get mad and you would even stomp your feet in objection.

* Taming your tantrums lately are a big challenge to us. You’ve now experienced getting spanked lightly on bottom and hands but most of the time, these don’t work anymore. There was even an instance when you offered your hands as you haughtily smiled after misbehaving. I controlled myself so hard not to laugh when you also fetched your dog balloon and you asked that it be spanked also.

* You’re a bundle of energy. You can create a total mess. You can also be very intrusive sometimes. We had to take away and secure everything like household stuffs and even my things like the jewelry making tools because you can really make a mess out of them.

Next month, you’ll reach the half mark of your third year and I must say that while I’m excited about the milestones and development you’ll exhibit, I can’t help but get nervous, too. Hope I’ll be equipped with much patience and coolness to cope up with your tantrums. Always remember that Mommy confronts you when you’re misbehaving, not intending to hurt you, but because I love you and I want you to grow up a good boy.

Xoxo,
Mommy
