Every Pregnant Moms' Prayer

As with my pregnancy with Asher, I always pray these days to have a healthy and easy pregnancy all throughout the 9 months stretch. That's actually every pregnant moms' prayer and wish. I don't mind about the gender, whether it's going to be another boy, but what's important is that our precious little one is healthy and normal. Having a baby with congenital or other birth defects is certainly heartbreaking. That's why I'm really careful and cautious of whatever I eat and do while I'm pregnant. There are certain drugs like Topamax or circumstances (illnesses) that can cause birth defects when ingested. This is the plight of moms who during their pregnant days happened to be prescribed with Topamax, an anti-convulsant used to treat epileptic seizures in children and adults, and migraine headaches. It's definitely unfortunate but the good news is the personal injury lawyers from O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers – 808 West Avenue, Austin, TX. 78701 – 512-494-9949 perfectly understand their situation. They help them in filing for Topamax lawsuit and liability claims against the manufacturers of this drug for the misery and trouble they were caused.

Summer School on Monday

Asher will start going to school this coming Monday. It's actually the beginning of the month long Preschool Summer Classes I enrolled him into. I'm so excited that as early as now I've already thought of our schedule every M-W-F (summer class days) as well as his baon and the set of clothes he'll wear for the first week. The Dad's pretty excited too that he reminded me to take pictures. He can't miss his work so he likes to see how Asher will fare on his first summer school day through the pictures I'll take. As for the little one, well, for sure it's the commercial playground equipment that he'd be more excited about. Honestly, I don't know what's going on in his mind right now. We've been psyching him up about what to expect in school but aside from his excitement on the slides and seesaws, I'm clueless if he has grasped the idea already of what preschooling is really about. And that's what's making me somewhat nervous.

"Gutom Ako!"

That's what we always hear from Asher every minute these days. I'm so amazed by his tremendous appetite that he seemingly don't ever get full. During meal times, he usually have two servings of his plate. Then after an hour or so, he would shout that he's hungry again and he "needs" to eat. He would often open the fridge or our plastic bin where we stock our snack items and get whatever his taste buds feel like eating or drinking at that moment: chamyto, yakult, choco topps cupcake, cowhead milk, banana, bread with cheese filling or what he fondly calls "tapay with cheese whiz", ice cream, etc. Even though he looks skinny, I'm appeased that he has a voracious appetite.

Medicines For Headaches While Pregnant

Recently, I've been battling bouts of persistent headaches. It's good that my next schedule of visit to my OB is near so I can refer this to her and ask for possible medicines I can take when the next intolerable pain strikes. I've read about Topamax and a Topamax lawsuit that has been recently filed against the manufacturers of this drug through the help of O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers – 808 West Avenue, Austin, TX. 78701 – 512-494-9949. It reminded me to be very careful about the things I eat or take in like in the case of medicines. I don't want my baby to be born with any birth defects like cleft palate or cleft lip that's why I need to be cautious all the time. This drug is given to treat migraine headaches but it comes with dangerous side effects for expecting moms.

Techie Baby According to Kuya

This is what I published in Instagram the other day. Asher's random blurbs like this never fails to amuse me. It's funny that he thinks the baby inside my tummy can now tinker the ipod and play with it. Perhaps his imagination of his sibling even includes a picture of the baby having complete HTC accessories and all. He pictures him as a techie baby just like himself. I'm also glad that he's cool about the idea of him being a big brother soon. Can't wait for that day when they'll finally meet. :)

Summer Preschool Classes Starts Soon

After the Holy Week, Asher will start his summer Preschool classes. I'm so excited for him that I keep on explaining and psyching him up what to expect in school. Like he'll meet his teacher and classmates, they'll play and sing together, he'll learn new things like read and write ABCs and numbers, etc. He seems excited, too, so I'm really looking forward to it. His summer classes will just be every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays which is a good schedule, I think, since it'll just be an orientation or adjustment phase. This will be a good training ground for him so that he'll be well prepared and acquainted once the regular school year starts on June when he'll come in as Nursery 1. Glad that the Preschool he'll be attending is just 10 minutes away from our place. It's not as distinguished as the other well-known Preschools in the metro but I like its teaching method, the ambiance and the teachers' accommodating and sweet welcome. I'm sure the little one will enjoy his schooling there.

While I was browsing online for our preschool choices a few months ago, I stumbled upon the website of Giraffe Child Care and Early Learning School. It's actually a Preschool Dublin, an award winning childcare and early learning center. The school is registered for ECCE Government Pre School Scheme. Under this scheme, every child in Ireland aged between 3 years 2 months and 4 years 6 months on 1st September each year receives one year "free" Pre-school education. It has 19 centers accross Dublin, Kildare and Navan and employs qualified and profession tutors that nurtures the kid's development in the areas of language, numeracy, creativity, problem solving, social and emotional development, communication and self expression. What a nice opportunity that both kids and parents can take advantage of.
